In our division, we have welcome dinner every year to welcome all the new comers. All old stuff have to pay for their meal and in return, those new comers must perform somethings to entertain us. haha...
And also there will be lucky draw session, games, and the SONY Idol, King and Queen of SONY for our design division.
And the star of the show is our MC's Micheal Jackson dance. it's awesome!
And i'm glad i has been invited to photograph the event.
It's a very tired day for me. I have to leave early to buy a hat (To follow the dress code - "Hat and Jacket") If not i dont know what kind of punishment they will give me.
Then some preparations, some shootings, and very rush eating... and i nearly collapse at the end of the day.

Izune @ KL International AV Show 2009 - Continued
Well, here comes the 2nd episode. Refer to my last post for the begining of the story.
Usually i'll spend 2 days in visiting AV Show. as my visiting speed is slow. I'll stay quite some time in each and every room to listen to those speakers that i may not affordable in this time being. Due to time constraint, this time i can only spend 1 day, therefore i skip quite a number of exhibition items. it's too bad for me.
Anyway as a summary, i list down the exhibition floor (Which is the same for all 3 KLAV show i visited since 2007)
Lower ground: Enterence, big booth demonstration. Including the big seller booth which sell many brands of AV stuff. and Pioneer always takes LG floor
8th floor. Hotel rooms, modified into demonstration booth and listening room. Exhibitor usually tuned the room to best sound for demonstration.
you can see high end speakers, amps, players, and some special stuff demo.
some room sells Hifi CD and accessories (cables, cords, ect)
7th floor. content same as 8th floor.
3rd floor conference hall area.
Sells CDs, accessories, some hall used to demonstrate speakers and amplifiers, some sellers, TV and projectors can be found here as well. SONY usually that 3rd floor conference. this year SONY join the show as well.
Due to time limitation, i skipped many things at 7th, 8th and 3rd floor, very rush in choosing CD, and BD as well.
Now the story begins in 8th and 7th floor.

Good enough for ipod speakers. but as one guest also mention, too bad, no depth image. Anyway consider very nice balance and detailed speaker system.

And until this time, already 7:30pm, it's closing time for the show, so i have to leave....
This time i do see some new stuffs in the show.
from 21:9 TV, projectors to high end speakers, cables ect. it's a good show to visit.
this year there are not many new hifi speaker. Maybe the impact of the of the economy slow down cause this.
Anyway i do enjoy the show and bought 5 CDs and 2 BDs from the show. and i learn something about the interconnection cables. thanks for my colleague advise and the demonstration personal introduction. And i end up bought a QED Qunex 1 interconection cable for my sound system to replace my current pasar malan RCA cable. and the improvement is awesome.
And of course, next year... I'll be back!

This time i do see some new stuffs in the show.

It's another change to visit the annually held KL International AV Show. Finally this exhibition, which features demonstration and sales of Audio Visual product, including amplifier, LCD TV, Projector and as well as some accessories and media discs, been held in same old place, the JW Marriot Hotel at Jalan Bukit Bintang. Dated on 24-26 July 2009, though i can only manage to visit the show at 24 July only due to schedule crash with some other activities.
This is actually my 3rd time to visit the show.
My 1st trip visiting KL AV show by joining my company trip. on 2007
My second trip, which is last year, i visiting this trip personally, and purchase my very 1st USHER S520 bookshelf speaker from the show
and finally, Trio to the show visit, I reach KL on 23rd and walk arround KL area, along with purchase of my new WINER camera backpack. and during 24th, which is friday, off i go to visit the show.
1st shot coming, is KL Night view shot from the Gardens. Thank for my old coursemate and a very experience photo kaki, Mr George Lim for joining me during the shot and also his precious advises.
Coming up next, Lucky draw at the AV Show enterence, so many lucky draw items. but until today i did not receive any contact, again... I have no fate to bring back any of the lucky draw items, for 3 years already. haaa...

Up Next, New stuff, Giraffe wireless HDMI transmitter and reciever. Quality of connection is good, Full HD no problem man, but drawbacks.... it's a 1 to 1... haa. better than a long log HDMI cable been laid around your house and office.
Man, see the transmission range, left side TV hooked up with transmitter, and reciever is at far right end.... it's a 1 to 1.... Why? specialist claimed that this is the best achievement of wifi transmission. To be continued....
